How do you get information about anything? Aren’t you awed by the amount of information in the environment? In this College you can learn various technologies that help you make the most of information or knowledge to live in information society. The field includes the library, the vast world of the Internet, the analysis and use of information and data, and the communication of information to the future.
In order to make the most of information or knowledge, you need to grasp their character and design or build information systems that manage them. In the second year, students study more specialty basic courses, such as knowledge information exercise, to deepen the knowledge and technology they acquired in the first year. In the third year, students choose one of the three fields of specialization and study advanced courses in those fields. For them to be trained in various viewpoints, students are required to study other fields as well. In the final year, students are assigned to a laboratory and must write a thesis. Once the students complete the required courses, they qualify as teachers, librarians, and “teachers with librarianship.” The degree granted is "B. of Arts in Library and Information Science." All the courses provided can be seen here.
Characteristic subject and evaluation
Following the “Freshman seminar” (required), which helps students adapt to university life, “Information literacy training” (required) is imparted to develop basic abilities, such as reading, summarizing, discussing, and presenting.
