In their first year, students study basic courses, such as foreign languages and specialty basic courses, which lay the foundation of their college education. In the second year, students study more specialty basic courses, such as knowledge information exercise, to deepen the knowledge and technology they acquired in the first year. In the third year, students choose one of the three fields of specialization and study advanced courses in those fields. For them to be trained in various viewpoints, students are required to study other fields as well. In the final year, students are assigned to a laboratory and must write a thesis. Once the students complete the required courses, they qualify as teachers, librarians, and “teachers with librarianship.” The degree granted is "B. of Arts in Library and Information Science." All the courses provided can be seen here .
Following the “Freshman seminar” (required), which helps students adapt to university life, “Information literacy training” (required) is imparted to develop basic abilities, such as reading, summarizing, discussing, and presenting. The College provides a curriculum in which the study of library and information science is integrated with information technology, social sciences, and the humanities. In the second and third year, students apply the knowledge and technology they have acquired. Furthermore, they undergo internship in libraries or companies to gain work experience.
